Companion install options
The QPSMR Companion program and documentation are property of NetMR Scotland Limited and should not be copied without permission from the Authors.
You may download the program to use the free modules, and study the documentation without charge. In addition, you will need a licence from a Dealer or the authors to use most of the Companion program.
Windows will install the relevant .NET Framework on your computer if you haven’t already installed it.
Furthermore, there are two major new releases a year of all the programs.
For ClickOnce versions the install should complete automatically. Also, you can update these to the latest release for this major version using “Check for Updates” from the main menu.
For the Windows installer MSI versions of Companion, choose ‘Run’ to install. To download the MSI and install it later, or on another computer, choose ‘Save’.
You can have different versions of Companion programs installed on a PC.
In addition, you can access Context help from any area of the program by using the F1 function key.
For improvements in the following versions, please see the Companion on-line manual, release details section:
You do not need a new licence to use new releases. You only need a new licence if you require facilities not in your previous licence.
These installs are the same for the free, standard, extended, and CATI versions. Companion controls the facilities available to the user by a separate small licence file.
